Woke up early this morning to bright sunshine and our crazy birds chirping away. I am pleased to say that with all the blog chat over the past couple of days I thought it was high time that I started keeping up with mine.

I have been working hard on getting my vegetable garden in and am pleased to announce that my little plants are popping out of the ground with great enthusiasm. Of course my wory now is to beat the goats by getting the fence up before the little beggers chew everything to the ground.
I am told that by not being a Saban I will never understand the "goat thing" but for the life of me I just don't understand why it is allowed to have livestock roaming around eating every living plant in sight and crapping all over the place is my problem and not the goats' owner. At any rate it is something I have to learn to deal with so I will, especially given that I won't to have my vegetable garden.

One of the local guys who is a hoot dropped them off for me yesterday. These little bananas are the best thing I have ever had. They taste like bananas and caramel. These are for eating only because if you try to cook with them they just go to mush. So I planted them this morning and now all I have to do is wait a couple of years and voila red bananas.
